People who care about the happiness of others above their own are the loneliest amongst all.

The pursuit of values delivers more happiness than the pursuit of happiness itself. One leaves you full, the other empty.

It's too big an irony for many.

@Beatbox34 I'm puzzled by that. Why does helping others break us if we have sensible boundaries? It hasn't hurt me.

@Beatbox34 You have to maintain self respect and value in yourself at all times. I help others, but don't get walked over. Otherwise what you say can be true: you get used.

@Abstraction You're right I guess. I was engrossed in fixing them and ended up in pain and loss.

I have learned to live with the loneliness now and I have kept my bar of expectation low.
