Ruthless
My heart’s cracked,
Life’s broken;
Home’s sick,
Brain’s frozen.

Mrs is far
Thoughts chosen
Reflecting what I feel
Ain’t completely open

Keep the game close
The fear’s woven
Into the threads
Of my heart’s motions

Stress shouting
Telling me
It’s over
It’s like I know I’m gonna get bent over

Part of me hopes, stays
Ahead and lifts me over
Look to the next game mate
Your four-leafed clover

The tools you need
Are at hand,
Ask and ye shall receive
But the question’s always deep
Locked in your mind,
Somewhere you don’t wanna see
In amongst the angst,
It’s all down in your pants
The need, the drive
Distracts you from what’s right

Distraction is what you need,
The TV, politics, the news.
It’s all there, just to stop you from being you

Create, draw, choose the life you wanna lead.
Your power lies within you,
Unlocking it’s the key

I’m an expert in misery,
Know what it takes to send me
Deep in the abyss
I create by my own envy.

Choosing to remember positive things,
Words of encouragement, thanks and …
It’s hard not to swirl these thoughts in my head,
What you forgot, those things you never said.

But the happy things are equal,
Right there in your heart.
Neglecting them means black
Will consume more than a part.

Rising through the pain
They come white arrows of light
They were always right there
In front of you in plain sight.

Eyes do not see,
Ears they don’t hear.
But life goes on around you
Just begin to listen here.

Respond positively
If you can’t at least try;
People lap it up and
That love can make you cry.

Those tears so different than
The almost-tears of pain.
So much so they help you up
When you were buckling from the strain.

Start what you want,
You’ll fail no matter what;
Failure’s a fear nobody needs,
You’re stronger with a chance.
