What is your favorite detective / mystery book series? And why?

I really like Kinsey Millhone by Sue Grafton, Alex Mcknight by S. Hamilton, Cormoran Strike by Robert Galbraith. I read all the books of these series.Right now I am enjoying Jack Reacher by Lee Child. I am on book 5. I guess I like their loner personalities, sense of humor and intelligence.

I loved the late Robert B. Parker’s books about Spenser and Hawk. But I got used to the late Robert Urich playing Spenser so it’s been weird seeing other actors in the role. And I always thought Avery Brooks used just the right subtlety for Hawk.
