I Hate Society

Society teaches us that we are never actually good enough, and the only way to survive it myself is by become destructive, volatile, homophobic, narcissistic, egotistical, megolamaniacal, selfish, and unkind.

In our society you can still demolish the lives of others and still get away with it. My refusal to comply has often resulted in contempt towards my image. For those who display such contempt, I would like to let you know that I don't care. I may be ugly, inside and out, but I am confident in the fact that I could never be uglier than the world I live in, and yet I'll never be good enough for it.

society is composed of people, its a biological imperative for the survival of our species . i'm agnostic i don't like religion but not because religion is evil, but because there are evil people who manipulate and use it as a weapon to justify their own prejudices and fears. society works in a similar manner, society isn't evil but some people use it as a weapon to justify their prejudices and fears, such as homophobia...but because society is made up of people it is people that decide to act like neanderthals and savages or act like civilized individuals. society does not dictate who you are...you do. society might be cruel, as a species we can be...but its your decision if you let it change who you are. if what you say were true then the whole of society would essentially be nothing more then some despotic, orwellian hell...which it isn't. maybe you should ask yourself, did society make me a narcissistic, egotistical, selfish homophobic destructive individual? are you really that weak? or are you simply a homophobic, destructive, selfish, egotistical narcissistic individual because you simply chose to be and blame society for your own choices. by the way its difficult to be megalomaniacal if you have no real political or financial power it kind an imperative.

So essentially you have to thrive in our society to be megalomaniacal, OK, I'll accept that. In the beginning I was referring to the term, nice guys finish last. The general attitude of our people does not appear to be centered around helping each other, the way I feel it should be.

I am also well aware that society was created by humans. So I suppose I don't hate society, just as much as you can't hate a gun. A gun can be used to protect people, and it can be used to hurt them. The truth is, you cannot hate the gun for what it does, you can only hate the guy behind the gun, humanity.

Our species is the most remarkable. We are capable of compassion, and destruction. We can fix the world, but we can destroy it. More importantly we can help ourselves, but choose instead the ongoing cycle of self destruction over the process of hundreds of years.

exactly...we choose what we are...society is nothing more than a construct, when you realize that, you'll be able to navigate it.
