I Sometimes Believe Life Is Very Unfair

For those of us who love to travel, (I realize this isn't nor should it be our topmost concern) but, this disease has wreaked havoc on travel plans.

I had 2 trips scheduled. One to my home state and the other to Egypt. I was leaving for one trip in April and May for the second one.

the travel agent reimbursed me 100% on my Egypt trip. BUT the trip to NY on Delta was the problem. I had insurance. There is an exclusion for pandemics/epidemics. Delta will only allow a change within one year of the purchase. So for those of us who schedule in advance, we have little time to use the ticket.

I booked my hotel on hotels.com. Nonrefundable because I got a great deal. American has agreed to extend my ticket until year end.

I am going to lose money. The airlines needs to step to the plate and offer what the cruise lines are offering.

Sad, I cancelled my trip to Asia in two weeks. At least they give me credit to use for one year.

@jjoe01 well i am waiting to hear about my "nonrefundable" room through Hotels.com. I Have until November to use one plane ticket and I have until Dec to use the other one. you can't get through to anyone to talk to a rep AND I just found out that my hotel even changed names.
@akindheart Maybe calling credit card company for a chargeback? they might be willing to help if this is the last resort.
