I Hate Religion

Seriously, I don't see the point in religion.

1. It starts wars and arguments and debates over nothing.

2. It needlessly disallows you to do certain things, such as eat specific meats.

3. Most of them encourage hate towards LGBTQ+, WHY? "Why should you go to heaven?"
"I abandoned my son when he told me he liked guys"
"Come on in."

Argue back all you want, I think religion is stupid.

To each his or her own, Serena.

I am a Catholic, and I have never seen anyone of the same ilk disallow certain meats. Are you maybe confusing religion with race (meaning Muslim, etc.)? Even my religion doesn't require use no meat on Friday (except during Lent) and haven't since 1966.

Wars are started over assassinations (WWI) or fights over land or other property (WW II, Korea), not religion. We had just had enough of warfare in the First World War, and if weren't for Pearl Harbor, we would have stayed out of the Second World War and later, Korea, when they asked our help - and paid us back by putting our boys on the front lines. Vietnam started much the same way and the same reasons.

Religion has nothing to do with the mother who is being judgemental over her offspring. Her son likes guys. That means nothing - he just chooses not to get married. I worked in an office for a supervisor who had the same leanings. He was a fairly decent man whose "liking" got him into trouble - he was murdered by another man who rejected his overtures (after he left our office). My church teaches human beings are who human beings are. If you leave the parish, they don't hound you mercilessly. Maybe some others do, but mine does not.

I won't try to change your mind. You have a right to your own opinions.

1. it's not over nothing it's over many things
2. most religions have zero restrictions on food
3. most of them don't encourage any hate whatsoever quite the opposite

Can’t argue with you there...
Those are legitimate reasons not to like organized religion.
