I Am Homesick For a Place That Has Never Been My Home

Perhaps the stork has it right
In splendid isolation
Both at the top of her world
And on the edge
a glorious view
safe from so much
Close to the coast
and shared ....
making it work
using the very precariousness
to advantage

I am homesick ,but have no home to go back to
all the places I loved as home are gone
Now I am homesick for a city I've never seen before
one where no more sad goodbyes will ever again be spoken
where time ,won't matter anymore

I'll be patient
