I Fear For The Future Of America

I DO NOT AND HERE'S WHY...

1 Corinthians 2:12-13
What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.

Thoughts for Today:
Let me pose a question: Do you think God would have trusted man alone to interpret and communicate His perfect truth from one generation to the next? Of course not. As a result, Paul was keenly aware of the distinction between the revelations to him from the Spirit, and the proclamation of those revelations by him. Paul knew it would be impossible to communicate God's truth to man without the Spirit to act as both interpreter and intermediary. And in our passage today, Paul acknowledges it was the Spirit who taught him the exact words to make it known.

As believers who read Paul's Spirit-inspired words, we too see things others don't see. We hear what others can't. How? By the Spirit who communicates truths to us which can only be spiritually discerned. As a result, we see the world differently. For example, the spiritual man doesn't fear for his job when he hears an economic commentator predicting the next double, triple or quadruple dip recession. It's not his reality. He knows the Bible promises that God will supply all of our needs according to His riches (Philippians 4:19). Which might even include a new job.

Questions to Ponder:
The spirit of the world is fear. The Spirit of God is peace. Which do you have right now? Which would you choose? God has His own language which is far beyond human comprehension. We need His Spirit. Will you ask for Him now?

Thank you for that very much. I saw this movie recently about Miracles and that they happen. It was about a family and 3 girls(true story). The middle girl got sick then fell into a hollow tree truck died and came back. She ended up telling her mom and dad that if people aren't getting it right now that it's okay. She said they will when they're ready. She was about 9 or 10. :) I learned that before I saw the movie and have tried to live by that.

@Megan82: I'm an optimist. If you choose to be a pessimist that's up to you. I'm sorry you feel that way.

@Justpeaceandlove: don't feel sorry for me...how condescending go on keep believing in your invisable friend and fighting with others over who has the best invisible friend

@Megan82: I don't and didn't say I feel sorry for you. I don't. You choose your way I'll choose mine. Please don't assume you know who my God is darling. He does not live outside of me.

And horses do fly! Imagination goes a long way! 😍
