I Fear For The Future Of America

We are developing a culture of hate here in America. Every time I turn on the news anymore I cringe. I don't even know what this country stands for anymore. It's getting scary and depressing.

@Chaoshead Late 60's/early 70's had much more political violence. Now people just threaten each other online. It's definitely not the same.

@SumKindaMunster Exactly. People act like political discord is new. But (like you mentioned) there was certainly more violence. Now people are just writing annoyed blogs and protesting.

All I can suggest is, get out and vote for a non-Republican in the mid-terms. It's the only way we can hobble this hateful man.

Stop watching the news. Step back from your computer. Go outside. Say hi to your neighbors. Look around, visit the places you like to visit.

Do you think you will see a "culture of hate" or people going about their lives being courteous and tolerant of each other?

I've done this and I know the answer.

In a recent poll by Politico, when asked what was dividing the country 64% of respondents said "The Media" I believe that to be correct. Turn off the TV and go outside, you will feel better and your health will improve. The media loves drama, it increases viewers.
