I Fear For The Future Of America
First - let me be clear. I live in Australia and only know the United States from what I see on TV and news items.
Here we have a high regard for the UNited Ststaes; they are our closet ally on the world stage.
However, it does seem to be in a state of Civil War. Police seem to shoot coloured people indiscriminately.
This is not only today's extreme and tragic events, but over many years.
A country that is divided racially , politically (e.g. Trump), and this divison enforced by the police can no longer be held in high regard, or even trusted by the rest of the world!!
If these attitudes continue, then the USA will surely soon lose it place as the dominant power in the world. Its moral authority is already much lessened.
To many of us here in Australia, this IS worrying. We do not want the world ruled by Chine or Russia. It appears also that Europe is disintergrating, rightly or wrongly, but that is another issue.
Please people in the USA look at yourselves and tolerate each other other and take away the power of deluded police!!
