I Love My Grandparents

I'm better off than some, I still have all four grandparents!

My Japanese grandparents live just outside the city my mother was born in, on a smallholding. My grand- father was a school principal in the city until he retired and took on his little farm.

My grandparents in France still live in the apartment in the ninth arrondissement they bought, and where my father was born. I love going over to see them.

Both sides are very dear to me, and I'm so happy that we visit Japan every summer for six weeks so I can be immersed in my mother's culture.

Cool! I've got both my grandmas but my grandpas are long gone.
Actually one of my grandmas lives in her bed since years, she's more like a vegetable, thanks to the egoism of my auntie. I hope she will die soon, cause that's not life.

My other granny is probably the best person in my life. She's old (93) but she's still brilliant and really really lovely. Everybody loves her, me, my cousins, the neighbours, even my friends always ask me "how is it your granny? She's great!"
I call and see her everyday, even yesterday me and my cousins did a reunion at her home.
She (and my grandpa) kinda raised me while my parents used to work all day, when I was a kid, and even toady she wants to be useful, do things etc. She's such positive, and she's also curious. 💚

You are lucky. I never knew any of my real Grandparents. Cherish yours although I can see you do x
