I Think A True Connection Is Rare

I believe in genuine connections. I believe soul connections are rare, as you know. I think different people come into our lives for different reasons or moments. They're not all going to be connections like that, and for that, I'm glad. Connections like that can be exhausting just as they are incredible too. I don't just want those connections, but I cherish them when I find them. I don't want boring, or mundane. I don't want small talk or inane chatter. I want good conversations with genuine people. I want fun conversations; I want laughter and teasing and wit and sarcasm and intelligence. I don't need to be deep with all of my friends. It makes those rare connections when you find them that much more. They're special. Not everyone deserves the inner, vulnerable me. A few times in a lifetime is about all my heart can take.
