One of the things that's always bothered me about Asperger's as a diagnosis is that "blunt honesty." Is listed as a Symptom.
I'm not sure why Neurotypicals consider Honesty to be such a terrible thing. Brutal truth tends to make for much more honest connections with other human beings. Instead of building relationships on false pretenses that will later come back to bite you in the ass.
For instance being honest and open and upfront about being Polyamorous instead of sneaking behind people's backs and cheating on them.
Direct communication is preferred. It tends to foster more genuine connection with others.
