I Am Reflecting On My Life
She received a gift in the mail. Opening up the gift she wondered of it's significance. It was a Christmas Tree ornament, a tiny pair of roller skates . Her sister sent a note along with the gift . The note was Her heartfelt story Which read:
These roller skates reminded me of you. When you left us you left your roller skates behind. Every day i went into the garage and gripped them close . it was my way of holding on to you. She never knew how deeply her sister hurt . This story penetrated her soul. How could a 16 year old understand the impact leaving her family would make. But she had no choice. That's just a part of how my family was affected by what happened to me 30 years ago.
