I Am In a Wheelchair

I'm A C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7 And T1 Incomplete Quad.... I have a genetic disease of of my spinal cord, Neurofibromatosis Type-1 (NF-1) I had a decompression surgery that left me wheelchair bound indefinitely. I'm functioning at C5 incomplete ASIA C. This happened in October of 2009. I'm slowly making progress, I'm learning how to stand up again.

I have L5-L7 damage (also incomplete) I can walk very short distances with sticks but se a chair most of the time. I hope u do manage to walk I know its really hard to re-learn. I have TBI as well (traumatic brain injury) from a bad car crash and a load of other probs. My 14 year old daughter was lucky - she had a serious fall whilst cantering on a horse and fell on the back of her head and neck. They thought she'd broken C6 and she was emergency ct scanned at 12.45 at night by a moaning Radiographer who wanted to go home! Thankfully she was diagnosed with a faint hairline break and mostly tissue damage which they said would heal in 2 weeks but in truth has taken over a year (it was a year last october 2011) and she has only ridden twice since. I like to stay in contact with lots of 'wheelies' if you like to? xx

I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you. You must feel uterly alone on this. I can't even begin to imagine the pain you must be going through. i know that people would say to give your life to Jesus, but I can imagine that you ask why would Jesus let something like this happen to you. If you read Jobs 1 & 2 in the Bilbe, you would get a better understanding why God would let this happen. all i can say that i hope you find a purpose in your life and try not to dwell on the obvious. I am sure there are many people in your situation. I hope I didnt offend you in any way. But I always have empathy for people who think that no one can possibly understand what you are going thru. i wish you luck.

Thanks, I've been reading and researching the Bible. I've been Baptized, I come from a Baptist Christian background. I would never knowingly hurt anybody. But my life's been nothing but confusion and chaos. I pray and I talk to God everyday and every night. I'm still trying to get a better understanding of things.
