I Vape

I smoked cigarettes for 20+ years and I did try to quit smoking in most of the usual ways over the years. I actually quit a few times for a few months at a time with the pure 'willpower' route but the cravings just got so bad during times of stress I always ended up smoking again. I just couldn't kick the habit, but then I found vaping a few years ago and havent picked up a cigarette since.

With smoking I was having issues with shortness of breath and was developing the dreaded smokers cough and all this cleared up thanks to vaping, and even my sense of smell improved just like when I managed to quit smoking for a few months.

I've gone through a few vaping kits from the Ego battery and CE4 kit (the basic pen style kit) to RTA's and various box mods, although my usual kit these days is a Smok Alien and a Geekvape Ammit combo which does me just fine with 1.5mg e-liquid.

Its funny how many people seem to have this opinion that vaping is as bad as, or worse than smoking and yet all the research shows it to be significantly less harmful than cigarettes, and eliminates the risk second hand smoke gives. Although a face full of vapour is still an annoyance so you should always vape with respect to others around you. Also all the hype about exploding batterys is blown way out of proportion. This is due to poor battery safety, and in most cases the use of whats known as a 'mech mod' which should only be used by advanced vapers but since they can make the biggest clouds appeal to the idiots who just want to show off making the biggest clouds they can but are not interested in learning anything about ohms law and battery safety first. Personally I've always avoided them as I am not interested in big clouds but rather just enjoy vaping.

Doesn't entirely relate, but as I smoke I understand the social stigma attached now.

I wouldn't have expected it, but I read someone who complained more about people who vape just blowing in their face. I had to take a measure (who knows if it's right) but I've seen so many who vape now carelessly blow out not caring who breathes in.

The reality is I get that blowing out of a vape causes very little harm. And maybe cause I respect second hand smoke harms, I try my best to keep it away.

@SW-User some people really do think it is more harmful and its a shame they stick to those beliefs rather than looking at the evidence, but its also a problem that some people are giving the majority of us a bad reputation by not respecting others when they vape (and smoke). I have always tried my best not to blow the vapour towards anyone, but I did when I smoked too.

@GypsyKing true, but it is alot easier than quitting cigarettes with their 4,000+ chemicals that gets inhaled with every drag.
