I Tried My Best

I really tried to meet people and make friends, but I can't do it. I'm so burnt out from it. Nothing could ever make me become unkind, but I'm not giving out my number anymore, I'm not going to social gatherings where I don't know anyone, I'm not inviting people to my house, none of it. I'm a strange person but I'm a good one. I enjoy my EP/SW friends even though I'm not very chatty and I'm very happy to be there for any of you. Especially the people I've talked to and the one I've met. I'm never afraid to say I love you weirdos. And as for the real world and all those sheep all I say is Ooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! ☮️🦊🖤

Your son and dog get so much from what you give them. They will also recognize how important and special to them that you are. You know the difference of a reciprocal relationship and have contempt for being used.

@Hanging2 going out by myself, meeting people through work. It never went well, for years I've been open and I have some friends from here, but I'm pretty content to be by myself. After all this time I honestly value the company of myself by far and I don't blame anyone for not liking me. I am a flake. I'm happy to hang out by myself.

@StokedFox I have never made any friends from work really. Perhaps acquaintances only.
Have you considered joining a community or charity group. My theory is that if you do good things with good people then only good things can happen. It is funny that I have more friends that are older than I am. Older people tend to me interested in what you are doing rather than what they are doing.

Good luck but don;t close yourself completely off because there will be a danger you isolate.

Very true! I don’t believe the people who tell us how a human being is supposed to live! The point to being human is that we can do what we want.
I love my EP/SW friends very much too! They have got me through some tough times.
