I Hate Being Forgotten

Hate it. I know that sounds selfish but for the longest time I was forgotten about by friends, family, etc. My bf remembered my bday after I told him when it was. Now he's throwing something for his best friend soon. I get it, we've only been dating for 10 months now and she's been his best friend for years. Yeah, it's just a bday and he does amazing stuff for me, but why do I feel so... jealous?

Birthdays can be hard to remember, but I know I wouldn't forget the birthday of the woman I loved. I had a crush on a girl named Sheila I talked to in high school and I never forgot her birthday, let alone an actual girlfriends. Birthdays are very important! It's celebrating you! It's your day! I would honestly be sad in your situation, but maybe he's just being a forgetful guy? It's probably not a big deal. Wait till your birthday and see how much he does for you! Maybe it will be more?

Okay, I think that's wrong. All he did was wish you happy birthday? He didn't plan anything? Yet now he's doing it for a friend? That doesn't seem right at all. Partners are the most important people in your life I think. Best friends matter, but they shouldn't receive more special attention than your lover does when it comes to birthdays. Maybe you could talk to him about it?

I remember the most pointless facts in general but forget people's names.
It's really embarrassing when someone remember's your name but you can't remember theirs.
i cover it up by saying "Oops sorry, I have a friend who looks just like you" 😂
