A yearly reminder that the government conducted inhumane experiments on a predominantly black housing complex

In Back in 2012 there was broadcast exposing the government for experimenting on black people during the Cold War. It was called Operation LAC. Not many people know about this seeing how this has never made national news

And that is the tip of the ice berg. Wasn't long ago the CIA was distributing drugs in order to infect clueless victims with STD's.

@curiosi the CDC tracks outbreaks of syphilis if they have a red flag regarding what areas or groups are getting treated for it. Young white teens from affluent homes for example. I saw a story about it on a show about 20 years go.
Abhorrent and disgusting. It enrages me. And it's a prime example of racism.

Governments around the world have used soldiers that way too, ever since WW1.
What we saw when servicemen returned from Iraq I and II was nothing new.

What was new was the protests. High time.

No one should be experimental an subject unless they volunteer.

And people wonder how I dare to despise the US government.
And that’s why so many of our elders didn’t trust doctors—and didn’t go when they needed to. That’s but one example. In the South, they often did experiments and sterilized people. Dr. Mengele would’ve been proud. 😞

@bijouxbroussard The Nazis literally learned from the US and ramped it up on the eugenics.
@GeistInTheMachine Exactly right.
