I Can Be Very Pessimistic

I think i was just raised to think of the worst and my family tends to do it but when i cant calm down when i afraid they tend to get defensive and call me emotional. Even yesterday my father said im too stupid to handle advanced classes because i break down over general education. He is right but why did he have to be so mean about it.
