I Love My Tattoos

I have 15 tattoos and i’m still in the process of getting more. Next one will be a sleeve on the left arm. When I was a teenager I used to be so scared of getting one until one day I faced my fear and conquered it. Now I have over a dozen of them and each one is a part of me. A piece of life that will always be with me. I can’t imagine my life without my tattoos.

What is it like getting a tattoo? How do you go about getting what you want with the artist. I think if I was an artist it would be easier to convey my vision, but to communicate to someone else im not sure how it works. Just trying to prepare myself before I get my own.

@Arorin How it works 99% of the time is you walk into a shop and talk to an artist about what you want, this is called a consultation. If the artist agrees to give you the design you want (they can tell you no btw) then he’ll usually trace it out, draw your concept and book an appointment with you after going over pricing. If you aren’t sure what exactly you want, that’s fine. Just throw around some ideas to the artist and he’ll come up with a design for you based on your ideas. It’s a collaborative process between you and your artist.

@QueenOfZaun do they draw up one thing or maybe give some varrients of options?

@Arorin They can draw as many concepts you want as long as they agree to do so.

@QueenOfZaun wonder if they would put a design on my guitar.
