I'm Only Pretending To Be A Responsible Adult

Im 25 now and still waiting for that adult feeling to kick in. Kind of get the feeling it never will unless an adult feeling is feeling like a kid who is tired, bored and worn out all the time

You don't ever just wake up and say, "Hey I feel like an adult today." It is gradual but seems to fly by. One day you are 24 and the next you are 64 and don't know how it happened and where all the years went. For me the defining moment was the birth of my son.

I have found that as I grow older, time seems to pass by much quicker. I can remember the years feeling longer. The last few felt like I just shot through them. What the fuck happened to all that time?! Where did it go?!

I think the feeling you are looking for just kind of creeps into your personality. The choices you make will be more "adult," less reactive. Being "tired, bored and worn out all the time." sounds like a whole different topic and has nothing to do with being an adult. good luck!

I'm very young to have started a career and almost have a decade in. I have a very adult Job and look around and think I have no clue how I got here. I don't think anybody really knows how they got there... And they just go with the flow and act like they know what they're doing.

Actually that was about the age I finally started maturing up. A few years ago I saw a news story that said a British study found that you're not really an adult or mature until 25. Sounds about right.
