I Hear Voices And Am Not Crazy

I suffered a bout of delirium last year from an out of control antibiotic resistant bladder infection. I heard voices during the months of delirium. Then they gradually faded. Now, with an inner ear infection, the voices have returned. They are faint and no longer threatening but still in my head off and on especially right before or after I've been asleep. It's creepy at times, especially if I wake in the middle of the night. I am trying to resolve the inner ear infection with large doses of vitamin C buffered with calcium. I have a doctor appointment coming up in a few days. Hate to discuss voices for fear of being thought crazy. The vitamin C does help me. Carrot juice is also very helpful. A psychiatrist I consulted a few months ago suggested fresh ginger juice and I've been drinking an oz.of it about 3-4 times a week. Anyone else out there with delirium or its after effects?

No experience with it but I'm hoping you get some resolution soon. It has to be very unnerving.

😕 Fascinating and creepy at the same time...

@wyndwhisper: It's typical, I'm told, of delirium. If you've ever had a very high fever, it's like that.

[c=#359E00]UPDATE:[/c] I saw the new doctor and she took me seriously and actually examined my ear. She says it's an infection! (The other 5 doctors, which included 2 ENTs, told me it was just old age and I should get used to it). She prescribed an antibiotic and I took it. It helped a lot. No more fevers, headaches and extreme fatigue. But I still feel an obstruction in or near my left ear. I am going to give it some time and use home remedies to see if it was related to the long infection I had and will go away on its own.
