I Am Looking to Improve My Life

Advice I'll give to younger folks... Finish ur education and save ur $ to build urself.. Not others.

I grew up on public assistance... When I was 18 I starting working 6 days a week for minimum wage, I saved for 2 years to do a course.. Which i did on Saturdays n work the other 6 days …

after that took a year off school to save... After which i completed 1 year in a degree.

i had to save to further the degree.... But i got a higher paying job... That wasn't allowing me the Saturday i needed off for school... I decided to take the job as I needed more money n wanted to go to school full time... I remained in that job for 8 years n saved... Savings wasnt used to further the said degree but were depleted when my bf was out of a job.

Earlier this year I got a very high paying job which I'm soooo lucky n grateful for as jobs thisbrewarding are hard to get... I'm saving alot more n I will build myself from here.

Further advice... don't let your spouse/so know your finances, especially if they are broke...they will depend on u instead of getting a job.

Brilliant..

You have a good mindset.

I keep saving but my money keeps draining when my family needs it.

Kinda makes me wanna give up.

That is true. Keep your money to your self
I agree. Let them get their own money.
