I Will Take As Many Words As I Want To Write This Story

Treatise on Living and Loving in Tamriel

[c=#804600][i]I suppose it would be apt to this short diatribe on life and love in Tamriel by saying that here on Artaeum there is little time or need for romance in the lives of the High Elves. A fact that I see rather sad being full Breton myself and having lived not as High Elf but rather a hedge mage of the common variety. Life was to be lived. The hidden could be found with the right magic and the balance and semblance of love needed to be maintained.

And yet, one would think that among the mages and scholars of this plane there would not be the stoicism and aloofness there is toward life and worse yet, love. They exist for their experiments, their results and data gathered. Or they flourish only in their need to know more and learn the core elements that Sotha Sil could impose upon them. A rare visit by Vivec, the poet warrior, I am told stopped scholars in their daily duties.

Life could be assembled and disassembled in a number of ways. Such is the vastness of Tamriel and it's people and culture. Were the Khajiit of Elsweyr and the Aldemri Dominion correct is worshiping Jone and Jode? Did the Deadric Prince and princess hold life's answer or was worship of the three in Morrowind seen as life? There are many more Gods and Goddess I have not spoke of and I shall leave that to men and women much more learned than I! There is also blasphemy to speak of and to that I digress.

Ah, but love!!! Is that not an experience all should have and embrace fully? One can strive to be master of their domain and yet is it not a shallow feeling without love and the support of another? How is it that one race could be so cold and oblivious to love and the emotions that came with it and yet sustained so long without embracing it?

The Bretons, Redguards and even Man-Beasts of old thrived on desire and independence. It may be fine for a Queen not to take a king but Orc and Nord Kings were nothing without a Queen by their side. Hearth mother, Shield Mother, however she may be seen these races understood the importance of living, lineage-and especially loving!

I still desire a vampire to romance me long and with passion before finally taking me as his and piercing my tender flesh and drinking of me as I am at the point of ecstasy and release! Damn the rest of those soulless elves to Oblivion! I wanted passion and damnit it was passion I would find. Somehow, someway.

Life was a journey and mine was just starting. I adored the grand master and I wept for days at his passing. It is rite and ritual of the High Elves to hold one in high esteem for long periods after they have gone to the Far Shores. Of course I sound as a Redguard saying that is that is their afterlife and one their ancestors, the ancient Yokudans believed in. Is culture not fascinating? And yet, the solemnness of the death among those of Artaeum I had to admire.

I believe I have spoke too long-(and perhaps taken a few liberties too many!)-- and as such I shall be concluding this treatise. I would hope that you find life and the adventure of living replete with love for what is life without love? I leave that for you to ponder.

Indeed, I swear I’ve spent my life avoiding it, and test somehow being ensnarled regardless. @Elandra77

@Elandra77 It's very telling that there was a lot of thought put into it. I'll be gone on vacation for a while but hope to hear from you when i get back.
@ReneeT You shall. I consider you a dear friend.

Very interesting. I hope she finds her vampire.
@Fungirlmmm I do too. the need, the derire to be taken as such is making her crazy.
Interesting read.
@DarkHeaven Thank You. I have written as her before. Twice actually with the last being a rather erotic vampire tale.

Much as many find Middle Earth fascinating I find Tamriel fascinating.

This took more research than I thought it would!
@Elandra77 Cool. ☮️
Love the Elder Scrolls!
@PrivateHell I guess that makes two of us? I find it rather entertaining to slip into a persona and character I created and write not only OF Tamriel but Arteaum- which has ling since been remove from Nirm. Being Psijic I can walk(or hide) among many races and lands and blend in.
