Interesting. One of my favorite books of all time was a dusty volune on the sgelves of my dad's library called 'A Treasury of Scots Humor.'
One that I recall: An intimidating dowager shakes hands with the vicar as she leaves the sanctuary: 'Reverend, I have but three criticisms of your sermon. First, 'twas read. Second, 'twasna well read. Third, 'twasna worth reading.'
