I Am a Stay At Home Mom

I love being a stay at home mom, and I look forward to the future when the kids are grown enough that I have the free time to further my education. I'm glad I'm not going to decide what my career is until later in life, because like everyone, I know myself better now than I did at 18-22. I look forward to getting into a career that interests me.

It really irritates me when I hear people lately denying women's natural instincts to be a mother and to feed and take care of their family. I love doing it... not much makes me happier than watching my family eat the food I made. Of course this isn't how every woman's mind works, but most do, and it's totally natural. Some women make both work by making money from home and that is great. They want to work but they also want to stay home with their kids. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be home with your kids.

I cherish my role as a wife, mother and homemaker. I also have interests and hobbies outside my kids. All of these women getting offended by the FACT that women in general tend to lean more toward wanting to be a mother and be home with their kids, in my opinion, need to take a chill pill. The percentage of people who actually believe that women should do nothing but be a homemaker is so minuscule.

This Google employee getting fired has me all fired up. If women want more women in tech, then more women should go into tech. This shit is all so crazy.

Have a back up plan. I've been a SAHM for 16 years now he suddenly decides he wants a divorce. Revoked all access to funds,accounts... everything.

Do not get trapped like I am now.
