Got my first mini painting commission!

My roommate ordered a heroforge mini of her favorite D&D character, and has commissioned me to paint it. Looks like it'll be a challenge based on the color scheme she gave it, but I'm up to the task!

You know, when I get around to it among the huge pile of other unfinished projects in my crafting corner...

Awesome! Enjoy it! I know it's hard work, but it's fun work.

@basilfawlty89 I do love painting tiny people! Plus, it's something fresh and unique and she already has a color scheme in mind, so the hard part of figuring out what color to make it is already done!

@FaeLuna plus hopefully you're sort of friends being roommates. It's also great doing something for a friend. Clients on the other hand...while I love freelancing, sometimes I've gotten ridiculous requests.

@basilfawlty89 Oh yeah, we've been friends since college. It's pretty much the only reason I accepted a commission from her at this point. I still have a long way to go before I'm confident in myself to take commissions from strangers.

@FaeLuna yeah, I know working with strangers can be scary. With freelancing when I started out I was a bit nervous too, because if I screw up it's my ass. On the flipside, no boss yelling at you.

@basilfawlty89 I used to do freelance graphic design and film work for several years, so I know exactly what you mean! Luckily, with graphic design I can just undo a mistake or make adjustments fairly easily. Painting small scale minis is a lot more unforgiving.
