I Don't Date

There are fewer men than women in my age group and most people are married at this age. Also, few men want to date an old lady; they generally want younger women. That makes the competition fierce for the very few single heterosexual men in my age bracket. Put all that together with my unhappy memories of men in my past and my independence...and dating is just a very unlikely scenario.

@greenmountaingal: well never say never if you turned up at the dance without a partner I'd still dance (as long as you were able) -not technically a date in modern terms but close enough.
