I Am Facinated By Human Sexuality
I am fascinated by the amount of shame women feel around their se*uality. Earlier this year women's social media got busy talking about the new released Camera V!brator. Yes, exactly as it sounds - it is a v!brator with a camera installed in it so you can record the physical activity and play it back. When I read the first article I was impressed! I would love to see the physical reaction my body has to an org8sm. It feels freaking awesome, so it must look pretty interesting too! BUT...to my shock and dismay just about 99% of the comments written by women were negative. "I've had kids. I don't want or need to see up my hoo-ha" were just one of many comments from women declaring their disdain for the very idea of inspecting one's se*ual organs.
Se*uality is such integral part of our life. It is our core. We derive our identity from it, we were created via it, and it provides much pleasure.
I am not ashamed of what makes me who I am and what I enjoy! Undeniably, se* is a very personal thing. I'm all for the sanctity of it. I am even convinced the act of se* is a spiritual experience, which is why, I believe something within our spirit feels amiss when all is not well in that part of our life.
I have wondered if women believe there are only 2 categories they can pick: s l u t or 'proper lady'. Most of us grew up with our mothers telling us "a lady does this, a lady doesn't do that blah blah blah". I wonder if many have it in their minds that 'ladies' do not embrace their se*uality for fear of being slotted into the 's l u t' category. Of course Hollywood hasn't helped with this stereotype!
I'm not suggesting we broadcast videos of our cervi*, but who here is NOT one bit curious to see what goes on inside?
And ps...does anyone know how to petition the correct spelling of the title of a group you've joined on EP? :)
pps...no doubt I'll find numerous spelling and grammatical errors after posting this. Dear grammar nazi's...I love you, I understand you, we need you, but please forgive me ;)
