I Like Disney Movies

My favourite Disney princess is Tiana. Even though I don't relate to her in terms of skin colour (I'm South Asian), she values fair play, which is what I also value. She also works really hard to achieve her dream, and has a job. I feel like she's more relatable in that way, but that's just me :)

To be fair though, those princesses tend to reflect the setting and time period within which they are set; since Tiana is in the real world (the others arguably aren't) and much later than the rest (the 1920s compared to the Middle Ages), and she is working class within that time period (from what I gather), it makes sense that she reflects those attitudes as they were prevalent within that time period. And since her time period is way closer to ours and society more recognisably modern, she can be considered far more relatable.
