I Want to Be a Published Author

So after working on my book and that includes rewriting it completely 3 times over in over 10 years, I sent in some to a publisher. They want to publish it!! They deemed it a "fantastical read" and more praise I won't repeat cause it still gets my ego going.....which is great and all but since then I can't write! Anyone ever experience this?

It's unusual that a publisher would agree to read it. Is it one of those places where you have to shoulder all the cost?

@Success not all costs. Some though yes.
