I Learned A Lesson

Love doesn't mean the same thing for everyone and can be only given out at the capacity at which the other person has received it. Meaning, someone can love me, but they're only going to love me according to how they've been taught to love, never to the heights I anticipate it. It's a great learning lesson because it teaches to lower the expectations from another person. It teaches that if you aren't being loved by someone the way you think you should, there is a strong possibility you have been given the opportunity to be a blessing in their lives and love them the way you want to be loved, in turn allowing them to experience limitless love at greater depths and with more intensity, expanding their ability to love others. It gives you some insight into that persons' life and shows how the theme of love played a role in their life or lack thereof. Finally, it teaches that the standards you might've had about how and how much someone else should love you were probably too high, and if you're really needing that type of love, the only real way of receiving it is by giving it to yourself and any additional love received by others is only a plus and not a necessity.
