Well said, Taynkbot. I suspect the itch is a quantum phenomenon because you can never be certain where or when it will itch next.

That's possible. I have wondered how much of an effect QM has on our thinking. It can't be too significant because our brains don't really work on that small of scale. Still, I wonder if at any point during our synaptic transmission of impulses, if something as subtle as quantum tunneling could have a larger impact than we might think.... no pun intended.

Yes, I have also wondered about that. Just finished reading 'All in the mind?' by Peter Clarke, which has an Appendix on that point.
