I Advise Caution

Spell Weaving Spider
by: Rob Paquin

Spinning the web
Like a good little spider
Catching stray flies
With all that's inside her

Deceit and some lies
A humor that's wry
A strange sense of self
Grounded in her warped pride

Too good for what's offered
But so needing of more
The catfish are jumping
Right into her door

Caught and quite trapped
Like a good little victim
His battered, bruised ego
Are what helps addict him

Taken under her waves
A tide rolling with magic
Casting her spells
With results that are tragic

Hunting the prey
Until the roles are reversed
The prey becomes hunter
Such a circular curse

Stay gaurded, stay true
Keep free of the hell
Where the wasted are wanted
And dying hearts go to dwell.

Disclaimer:

This actually has nothing to do with me or anyone I know. Just an objectively creative bit of writing in rhyme.

Thanks for reading
