I don't think people know how much rice is eaten in Africa. Well Nigeria to be specific. Its basically the only thing a lot of people eat. There are so many ways to cook it but the most common are:
Jollof Rice
My favorite, and the most common. We're famous for our own brand of jollof rice throughout Africa (it was invented in Senegal but the Nigerian version is the most popular).
Fried Rice
Takes more time to cook but us also great.
White Rice and Stew
The fastest to cook, usually every Nigerian home has a pot of stew and beef/chicken ready all the time because so many foods go with it. Our American friends think its too spicy馃槀馃槀. With this type of rice you just boil it, add a little salt and eat it with stew.
