Going to work sick.

Everyone these days is quick to tell you to stay home if you are sick. That's great for you but some of us can't afford to miss a day of work. That day off work is the difference between eating or starving. The difference between living in my car or having somewhere to stay. I feel like complete garbage but don't have a choice but to go into work tomorrow.

The world and companies play these little covid games until it gets in the way of profits.

For going in sick - historically we know employers expected people to come in even if they were hurt or sick. One only gets three sick days a year.

IN the past, anyone trying to take time off was basically accused of lieing about illness or injury. But now we are suppose to take covid serious? That is bull.

That’s why our Covid clusters happened in workplaces here, because of the casualisation of the workforce in Australia. As casual, no work no pay. Hence why some people infected with covid came in and infected others.

@SW-User Same story here in America

I feel you man. I go to work no matter what. Regardless of how I feel mentally or physically. Its difficult. But I guess I'm used to it by now. Such is life

Do it! And take some herbal tea with you.

Everyone should get sick pay... and at a time like this that's even more essential

Its not your fault but it is disgusting

@Selah It's not ideal and I'd rather take the day off. I just don't have a choice.
