I wish these films had been around when I was a child. I saw Spirited Away when I was 30 or so and was amazed that someone had made a movie for kids with that kind of quality. In some ways, maybe it was more enjoyable to watch as an adult because I picked up on the symbolism and theme and metaphors right away (and was impressed by them). It's about greed and its corrosive effect on the world, and I noticed for example that the father's car was an Audi A4 Quattro, a big German car which was left-hand drive so it had been imported into Japan at presumably huge price. Those are the kind of details I really liked about it.
