I listened to a pretty interesting interview this morning that was broadcasted on the 8th of december 2020 on PBS. In it Steven Schmid, a former communications and public affairs strategist for the republican party, breaks down what according to him happened inside the Republican party and what it means for American democracy.

Haven't quite watched the whole thing, yet I am somewhat familiar with the lincoln project.

I know this, my old life long republican in-laws would have also been abhorrent of what this president has done to what is now the republican party as well.

I don't believe they would have just stood around for it either.

Sad yet glad that they didn't have to watch what has happened to the party.

Many was the time my father "politely" debated with my in-laws! 😊
