Ben Shapiro is insufferable. He did a segment about people's inconsistency on the national debt and deficit, and he started out making sense. He said that a lot of people complain that the American government spends too much money, yet they get angry when the government announces plans for spending cuts. And he's right about that, absolutely. He gives the recent increase in military spending as an example. But then he makes a statement that the military is underfunded and that we need to keep the additional spending, but cut social security and so-called "entitlement programs" because they suck up too much money. Despite that over 50% of the US annual budget goes to the military. Six hundred billion dollars every single year, that's more than China, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Germany, India, and Japan put together. We have nine hundred military bases all over the globe, it costs one hundred billion dollars yearly to maintain them. Ben, you want to spend MORE money on that?! But cut social security? Are you out of your fricken gourd?
