I Wear Short Trousers

I have just retired early, my last month at work was spent in short trousers and I continue to wear shorts. So I have not had to wear any long trousers for nearly two months. My standard "respectable"shorts are shorts from cotton traders with a 5inch inside leg. Very comfortable for anything such as when practicing my yoga and generally messing around in. I also wear denim short shorts at home that have a one inch inside leg approx-also great to wear. I certainly intend to carry on like this.

Well just an update, I have carried on wearing my shorts and have not thought of wearing any long trousers. Indeed I am now wearing my short denim shorts out in public. Slightly disappointingly for my ego no one has said a thing. Maybe it is the very hot weather we are experiencing. I should add they are respectable. No bum showing, just very short with about a one inch inside leg.

Welcome to the world of well-deserved leisure - though I have found what they meant when older people told me I'd have no time for leisure once retired!

The denim shorts sound good! Just long enough to be decent. If resembling one or two of your photos then they certainly meet specifications - and are eminently suitable when legs or bottoms are to be smacked!

I wear something similar around the house and garden, cut down from an old pair of thin, grey cotton trousers. They are not suitable for wearing anywhere else - a bit too short and ragged with the bottoms of the pockets below the "hem" (not actually hemmed) - but fine in the garden.

@turbineman40 I hope to teach some yoga possibly in prisons, also enjoy myself with a few holidays etc also the boring bits-doing up my house (neglected decorating etc)
