Private Florida school won’t employ vaccinated teachers, staff

As the school leader is concerned the vaccinated staff might spread disease to the unvaccinated.

Is this real or satire? I feel like this is a story the Onion would write.

‘HEALTH FREEDOM’
“I believe strongly in Health Freedom and “my body, my choice” and for that reason, did not prevent employees from choosing to take the COVID-19 vaccine prior to April 21, 2021,” she wrote. “However, reports have surfaced recently of non-vaccinated people being negatively impacted by interacting with people who have been vaccinated.”

Leila Centner, who co-founded the school with husband David Centner, warned that vaccinated persons “may be transmitting something from their bodies” that could harm others, particularly the “reproductive systems, fertility, and normal growth and development in women and children.”

The vaccine is now available to those who are 16. What are they going to do when their students have been vaccinated ?

@Subsumedpat sounds like the school is for middle schoolers, so maybe they won't have any until a younger group is approved.

Though of a kid gets held back a year, in theory they could hit 16 at the end.

@Viper Of course you also have the issue of HIPAA protected health information, how they gonna find out, they could get in trouble for simply asking. Some seriously stupid people educating the children.

@Subsumedpat Yeah I thought of that, but I believe private businesses have some loopholes where they might be able to jump through and that could be allowed.

At least until someone successful sues them... but usually that takes more money and time than anyone is willing to give. Plus the school will fire them anyways for something else.

@Viper Not with HIPPA! That is an individual right. Cannot be abrogated!

@StevexStephie I believe you are correct, all you have to do is go online to their website and file a complaint.

I believe the article talked about it, I don't remember what it said. But sounded like there requested employee information. And employees probably gave it to them, not realizing they'll be fired over it.
