I Love Meditation

Meditation has always fascinated me but I have never actually tried it, which I am going to change starting tomorrow morning, life is fast, work is fast, bills are fast, I'd love to be able to just have time once a day to slow things down, get control of myself, but I am curious as to whether the benefits of meditation are really there? Would love to hear from people who practice it if it has had a genuine positive impact to their mentality?
