I Love Meditation

So I'm 15 years old almost turning 16 and I find that it is almost impossible to meditate when under the constant stress of school however I recently came across a type of meditation which activates certain chakras in your body allowing you to in today's day and age have almost superhuman powers although when I attempted this as my first ever type of meditation I felt tingly and it sounds strange but very high pitched sounds but in a way it feels good I feel relieved of all stress I was wondering is this a common thing to happen I was trying to focus on the "third eye" chakra which allows enhanced senses I believe and almost feel as if I can actually walk free without my body.

Well. I'm pretty skeptical. I don't believe in things like that. Astral projection is widely believed to exist, but I believe it's just a lucid dream. People fall asleep then have a dream that they think is reality. But, lucid dreaming is scientific fact. You might be interested in it. Basically becoming a God who can do anything, in your dreams. It takes some work to be able to do, though. Keeping a dream journal and such. But trust me. It's way worth it. Then you can really have any powers you want. Flying and flying through walls is especially fun.

As for that tingly feeling, that's probably all it is. But hey. Can't hurt to keep trying.

well the weird thing is I'm not trying to sound crazy or like doing some evil stuff but I was sitting in the dark and listening to a soundtrack which has the right frequencies to activate some on the chakras and I began hearing things yes its most likely lucid dreaming but it was so clear and like as it was in my ear yet I still felt no fear I think I'm gonna give it another shot because I've never felt this good in my life
ColdPenguin25
Ahh, yes. I know what you mean. It's not crazy. That's called the "hypnagogic state". It happens to everyone right before they fall asleep. You might see images in your mind or hear things. It's like a pre-dream. So you were probably on the edge of consciousness. There's always a logical explanation. That's a good way to get into a lucid dream, if you can stay conscious in that state while your body falls asleep. Then you can slip right into a lucid dream and do literally whatever you want, Godly. You might wanna check this guy out. He really knows his stuff. I had several lucid dreams following his advice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXgbXKSjlr8

So much in this video matches a lot of things I feel i felt as if I could think of a place then randomly appear there however I was not walking but more floating but in reality I could feel my legs went numb then out of nowhere random things began to pop up as like I was watching short clips followed by the soothing soundtrack i
what I saw I can't fully explain as there was many faces like thousands but it felt as if I knew them it was almost as if my memory was so activated I was seeing things I couldn't possibly remember
ColdPenguin25
Teleporting, yeah. That's pretty common in lucid dreams. Floating as well. It was prolly a lucid dream, if you were consciously aware of it.

Lucid dreaming does not explain how it is possible to view things on the physical plane through astral, then later verify it with your own two eyes.
ColdPenguin25
It really does. Your mind might simply recreate places you have been before. You might not remember that you have been there, but actually have been.
BlackRaven2015
You're way off.
The mind can't recreate a place that you've never been to.
I once used astral projection to visit a friend who was at her house in her bedroom when I visited. I was never in her house, nor did I see a picture.
2 weeks later I was invited over and saw the bedroom with my own 2 eyes. It was exactly as I saw it from the astral plane.
Lucid dreaming does not explain that, nor does your previous explanation.
ColdPenguin25
Is that the only time it happened? There's always a rational explanation. I would also bring up memory decay. Human memory is astoundingly unreliable. Memories conjoin with other memories to create entirely different ones. Memories might be entirely made up, at times. And yes, I will provide a legitimate source for that claim if you really need one.

You might have just noticed a few things that were similar. Or, you might have a bias and want it to be true, so convince yourself that it is true. Or, and this is probably most likely, you might have had a dream that you went to her house and believed that it was real, that you actually visited her house. I believed that I had gone to school in nothing but my underwear until 5th grade. My parents swore it didn't happen. It was just a really realistic dream.

Just recently, I dreamed that I looked outside my window and it was dark and thought I must have overslept big time. I woke up confused for like 2 minutes, because there was light outside my window. Much less if this is something that happened to you years and years ago, in which case we also have to add memory degradation and amalgamation to the possibility.

Unless it's studied in a scientific environment and can be done over and over and over again with the same results, it is not fact. In short, it doesn't matter what you say happened, I would have to see it for myself and repeat it over and over again to believe it was true.
ColdPenguin25
To clarify, when I say you might have dreamed you went to her house, I mean the second time you went could have been a dream. Not the first one where you supposedly astral projected.
BlackRaven2015
"There's always a rational explanation."
Yes, and in this case the rational explanation is astral travel.
You're obviously skeptical about astral travel, but I can tell you from personal experience that it is a real thing.
it's fine to want to be logical and approach things from a logical perspective, but that's only going to get you so far. Sometimes you have to look at things from an angle you don't normally look at things from.
The second time I was in her room, the physical time, I was awake. It wasn't a dream. In fact the reason I was invited there in the first place was because I had told her of my astral experience and she told me it was a perfect description of her room. Soon after I was invited there to verify it with my own eyes. That's why the event is so amazing to me, because being able to verify it without a doubt is something I'm big on.
And no, there are no problems with my memory either. I happen to have a very good memory, and not only that, I also have journal entries that back up my memory.
ColdPenguin25
I am skeptical. I've tried to astral project before, but I can never do it. Well journal entries are a lot more reliable. But, well. I guess I'll give you this if you're interested. In it, he goes over how shitty human brains are, basically. But it's an hour long. But, if I was dictator of the world, I would force everyone to bow down to Dr. Novella and listen to everything he had to say. I think it has a lot of good information in it that can be helpful, knowing how the brain works means you can change behaviors and such, easier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8BcqrKOb1A
BlackRaven2015
I can understand being skeptical.
Unfortunately astral travel/projection is one of those things that can be really hard to achieve. I used to have an easy time with it but anymore it's pretty difficult and frustrating. I'm not giving up though because I've experienced it and it is worth the effort.
I don't know if you have up or not, but if you ever do make it you will understand why it's worth it.
Also, one thing I have learned is that people with more logical minds often have more difficulty with astral travel.

I used to be very skeptical and the most pragmatic person going until i was introduced to meditation and it seriously changed my life. Not only did i experience a profound spiritual awakening but pure surges of energy around my body amongst other physical anomalies. My rational mind kept trying to find explanations for what was happening to me but came up blank ! Love and light :)
