Got my job offer today.

I was prepared to ask for a dollar more than starting pay due to what little experience I have.

I was offered over 3 dollars more than starting pay.

Which is still more than I currently make.

Now all I have to do is act normal at work until August 😂

I kinda want to quit my job in like June or July so I can have lots of time off..not sure yet. I will certainly make sure that I sign papers before quitting current job.

And I always put in a 2 weeks notice

Congratulations! Don't quit early! Wait for the offer letter from the new company and then give notice. If there are any hiccups, you can likely fall back on your current position that way.

When you leave the current position, don't air grievances, and say that you really enjoy the place, but this offered a better economic opportunity, so one would be foolish not to accept it. Be sure to thank the current employer for the experience that you have gained and say that you will miss them and would stay, but for this opportunity that presented itself. Even if you hate the current work situation, always leave the door open and graciously depart.

Congratulation!! And yeah, the two week notice is good. They would love you more if you went three weeks. Just a thought.

Good idea about making sure, for sure, sure that you have the job first before quitting. My little brother lost a job that way because he was told that he had the job and then they stopped returning his calls.
Did you use your notes during the Zoom interview??
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@REMsleep oh man. I once had a job do that to me. Told me I had the job and didn't return my calls and emails either. Glad I didn't quit my job though. I was paranoid for nothing. They didn't ask me much of what I prepared. Luckily I had true examples of what they did ask.
It flowed very naturally. Probably the best interview I've had. They sent me some material a few hours before the zoom, for me to read, like a couple case studies. I printed it and highlighted all over it.
And I did have a sticky on it lol
