I Speak English

Therein lies the conundrum. Many multilingual persons are quite intelligent simply due to the increased knowledge of cultures and communications required to masrter the language(s) of their choice. Although spouting generalized prejudice intended to incite is a habit indicative of lacking emotional maturity, it should not be allowed merely because the speaker is ignorant. Ignorant in the sense that to hold such a strong prejudice one has either not been fully exposed to a wide (and therefore accurate) range of people representing the idea, or they have but are too narcissistic and blinded to realize the truth. Generalizations, especially hateful or spiteful ones, are hardly ever truly representative of the majority let alone an unwavering fact in and of themselves. It is prudent to forego preconceived notions and form more accurate opinions, or at least to avoid using such operative words such as "all" or "every" or "none" if you wish to be seen as erudite and concise.

Americans such as myself speak English perfectly. A person can choose to speak slang if they want to. This does not mean they can't speak English well.
