I Hate Living With My Parents

I'm moving out in two weeks from my parents place. have paid rent on time every month for a year. moving is expensive and they want rent even though I'm not here the whole month. Is it wrong for me to be pissed and not want to give it to them?

take the emotion out of it and think of it ethically. did you give your parents notice you were moving, like you would another landlord? don't know the back story, almost afraid to ask.

they knew a month ago we were moving out. last month they thought we were moving and were surprised to get rent. note I did notsay we would be moving last month but this month and they knew this. Now I reminded them it was in two weeks and now they want rent.i paid for last month's already and am only into this month for two weeks. They don't need it bc they both have full time jobs my dad gets extra income from his house he rents for a grand a month and my mom just came into 25 grand from my grandmother's house being sold. ....so yeah that's most of it.
