I Listen to Tom Petty

I didn’t see Petty until the first Farm Aid show in ‘85, but what a memorable first set Bye Bye Johnny
Don't Bring Me Down
Straight Into Darkness
Refugee

w/Dylan
Shake
I'll Remember
Trust Yourself
Maggie's Farm

I was fortunate to catch him a number of other times, and as my dear friend Robi said, The shows always lasted for hours and you left feeling like it was money well spent. You left feeling happy, always having heard the songs you wanted to hear, plus many you forgot you loved! https://similarworlds.com/6028042-I-Listen-to-Tom-Petty/1176579-Tom-Petty-will-always-have-a-special-place-in-my

Damn the Torpedos got me hooked on him. I recall rebuilding my mountain bike while playing that album over and over.

His concerts, so raw and bar-like, yet stadium filled. His stand against the music industry is only rivaled by Pearl Jam.

If you’ve not seen it, catch his documentary on Netflix: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: Runnin' Down a Dream

His solo album, Wildflowers is one of my faves. [media=http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLawUsUAmxoIMJp388pqmyY1tFZQ6mx0Ik]
