I Am Co-dependent

I have been watching lots of youtube videos on Narcissm and I think I may be co-dependent.

I had a bit of a co-dependent relationship with my mother as she was a drug addict and alcoholic. She could be verbally abusive too - accuse me of trying to act mature so boys and men could hit on me. She was paranoid about me having a boyfriend one day. She wanted me to be a virgin on my wedding day even though she herself never married.

Shed tell me that if I ever had a boyfriend that she'd beat me up, then she'd want me to look at a cute boy, I wouldn't look and then she'd ask me if I was gay. oh boy.

I am thinking that my co-dependent relationship with my mom made me vulnerable to men like my husband.

So for now I"m doing more research into co-dependency and narcissism. Just being more aware for now and trying to not fall for my husband's traps and stuff
