I Live In the Midwest

Can anyone tell me why there are so few people here on SW that are from the midwest? Seems like just about everyone I've ever chatted with on here is from the East/West coast or Canada or somewhere else. Not that the folks from elsewhere aren't nice and fun to talk to. It's just that I'd like to hear from somebody in my neck of the woods once in a while.
